- To provide an adult learning environment that recognizes and builds on individual skills and needs.
- To provide practical work activities which enhance learned skills, foster appropriate work habits and assist in identifying or validating career choices.
- To provide educational, life and personal skill development to enhance individual success in employment.
- To provide community-based work experience that reinforces learned skills and establishes a mechanism for clients to showcase these skills to potential employers.
- To ensure all participants are provided with a basic foundation of practical and generic workplace skills inclusive of, but not limited to, basic computer, first-aid, OHS, WHIMIS, and customer-service skills.
- To develop partnerships with employers to ensure that all training supports employer needs.
